If you thought the academic performance of your child was based solely on the number of hours studied, you are sorely wrong. Multiple factors result from academic performance and good grades–everything from the intellect of the child to the environment in which they are. And one of the major influencing factors that is mostly ignored is physical health.
In fact, physical activity and health can boost the ability of a person to learn. Exercise can significantly improve the cognitive abilities, health, and academic performance of a child, according to the National Academy of Medicine.
Psychological, social, economic, personal and environmental factors play a role in education apart from the level of IQ. These factors have different effects from person to person and even from country to country! Some of those elements are:

Effect of exercise on the brain of your child
According to a study conducted by the University of British Columbia, regular aerobic exercise improves the functioning of the hippocampus, the area of the brain involved in learning and verbal memory.7 Other forms of exercise such as balancing exercises, muscle toning exercises and resistance training did not have the same brain outcome. In those who exercised regularly, even the prefrontal cortex and medial temporal cortex–parts of the brain that control thinking and memory–were found to be in better health than those who did not exercise in the brains.
The memory and thinking effect of exercise is both direct and indirect.
Directly, regular exercise enables inflammation to be reduced, insulin resistance to be reduced, and growth factors to be released. These growth factors are brain chemicals that affect new blood vessel growth, brain cell health, and new brain cell survival.
Indirectly, getting enough sleep and mood will improve. Stress and anxiety will also be reduced.
How much exercise do child need to get?
Children between the ages of 6 and 17 should receive a minimum of 60 minutes of daily physical aerobic activity and adults between the ages of 18 and 64 should receive a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity per day.8 It is believed that the benefits of exercise during the day of school exceed the benefits of increasing class time. Moreover, when physical education was given either in the first half of the day or midday rather than at the end of the day, the greatest cognitive benefits of physical education were seen to come about.
